A Great Northern statement confirms a flyer will be distributed detailing service between the city and St Paul. The move aims to inform riders of new schedules and routes.
Officials declare the new service will shorten travel to the Twin Cities by about two and a half hours once the Huron to Watertown line is rebuilt. Two hundred workers upgrade track between Huron and Watertown while depots and sleepers are prepared for night service to St Paul.
A signed pledge by South Dakota merchants promises to duplicate prices from Sears Roebuck Montgomery Ward and other catalogs for cash with freight added. The list includes dozens of local firms across many trades and notes recent regional visits and business moves.
