Beadle county sheriff Kerr sued for office rent from January 1 1902 but the board of county commissioners rejected the bill. State's Attorney Kelley moved to dismiss and the court granted the motion. The case was dismissed. A. W. Wilmarth appeared for the plaintiff. The term was profitable for the county with $685 paid to the treasurer and two fines unpaid. Court adjourned for Easter and reconvened with motions and civil actions.
W H Rolph an early Huron resident since 1885 died Tuesday evening at LaPorte Iowa home of his parents after a long illness. A traveling salesman by trade he had been unable to work for years and sought relief in the dry Arizona climate last winter. He leaves a wife and one child.
