The Womans Relief Corps of Huron has incorporated and bought the Minor building on Wisconsin Street. Repairs start immediately to create a lodge hall for the corps and the G. A. R. with a dining room and kitchen on the opposite side. The completed site will serve as a fine home for both groups.
United States Court of Appeals upholds that the stock held by Northern Securities was acquired through a combination restraining trade. The decree enjoins the company from further stock acquisitions or voting rights in Northern Pacific and Great Northern railways and directs transfer of shares to original stockholders if any were issued in exchange. Governor Van Sant and Attorney General Douglass praise the ruling as a key victory for the anti trust movement.
The city election showed strong division but results were reported ward by ward. H A Van Dalsem served as clerk, J T Chiwiwe Sauer as police, James J Attender as treasurer, John A Baker first ward, E J Miller second ward, J C Cogswell third ward, and an alderman in the fourth ward was listed.
The Twentieth Century club hosted a regular Easter ball last Tuesday with over seventy five couples attending. After a midnight repast at Eberhart and Huntley restaurant the dancing resumed for the remainder of the evening.

At Ruby Ohio on April 15 a boiler explosion at the Charles Bevans sawmill killed Charles Place and five others were fatally injured. Several more workers were seriously hurt. Emergency crews rushed to the scene as the plant suffered extensive damage.
