Master in Chancery Jairus Kennan announces multiple public vendues in Norwalk Ohio under decrees from the Court of Common Pleas Huron County. Listings include forty three acres in Norwalk township part of lot one, and fifty acres in Leffingwell tract Norwich, plus sixty acres center Lot six Clarkfield and twenty seven and one third acres part of Lot one hundred Norwalk.
Authorized by a Decreta Order of the Court of Common Pleas Norwalk Ohio the sale will take place October 12 1840 at one o clock in the afternoon at the courthouse door in Norwalk. It covers half of lot 94 in Florence with extensive reservations and deduced parcels totaling eighty one acres plus additional tracts including various lots and riverfront parcels with complex boundaries and prior deeds to Butler Briant Vredenburgh Meade and others.
Court records detail land separations for two parcels and three lots east of a two acre parcel sold to Erastus Butler, with references to a 1936 Bir mingheat survey by Warren Scranton and a 1837 warranty deed to Ebenezer Jesup. The Decretal Order directs sale of a Norwalk courthouse land plot in Milan Township to satisfy a decree involving Paul Spofford and Thomas Tileston against Ozias Long and others.
Decretal order from Court of Common Pleas Norwalk directs sale of multiple tracts in Lot ninety four Florence, Huron now Erie county. Properties include twenty acres and other parcels, blanks show river centerlines and road centers. Sales proceed to satisfy a deed in favor of Eli S. Barnum against Aaron Triggins and others. Auction set for October 12, 1840 at Norwalk court house.
