Whig County Convention Nominates Erie Officers
The Whigs of Erie County held a Milan village convention on September hb 1840 to nominate county officers. Philo Adams presided. Bennet Pierce and E Topping were secretaries. Sheriff candidate Zalmuna Phillips led the ticket with John Fuller, William Neil, William H Crane, George Reber, Joseph B Darling, and Samuel Johnson named for other posts.
