Milan and Columbus Railroad Company Incorporation Act
Ohio legislature passes a charter for the Milan and Columbus Railroad Company, appointing commissioners to receive stock subscriptions, set capital at one million dollars, and outline governance, land damages, route rights, and state purchase option. Provisions cover stock sales, director elections, tolls, property purchases, and penalties for railroad damage. The act is signed Feb 1, 1832.
