Walther Memorial adopts sequential autoanalyzer for tests

At Walther Memorial hospital admission now includes a routine lab panel using a sequential multiple autoanalyzer. The device yields 12 common blood chemistry tests with a pictograph chart and normal ranges. Results are screened and abnormal values confirmed by manual exam. The system saves labor, lowers costs, and may shorten stays while enabling longitudinal health monitoring. Also, patient services at Walther Memorial rose in early 1967 with gains in physical therapy, first aid, outpatient treatments, and laboratory exams.
