Al-Anon and Alateen meetings are held weekly in Hubbard to support families and teens affected by alcoholism. Friday 8:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church and Monday 10 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church. Alateen meets Monday 7:30 p.m. at Grace Lutheran and Sunday 2 p.m. Pre-Teen meeting also at Grace Lutheran. Babysitting provided during the morning session. The Hubbard High School French Club welcomed 76 new members on September 23, bringing total membership to 242 under advisor Robert Zirafi. Initiates dressed in French flag colors and wore armbands while greeting veterans with candy. Activities at Kent Kelley home included ceremonies, a scavenger hunt, and a post initiation party. Plans include a Mardi Gras party, a Cleveland trip, a gourmet dinner, and possibly a fourth trip to Quebec City.
