Growth of Hubbard Public Library in 1930s
The Hubbard community expands its public library starting with a 1936 concert raising 320.70 to seed a library fund. A school district library is formed, a board is appointed, and 2000 books arrive. August 1937 hires a librarian, with early funding from local groups and tax support beginning May 1938. A 1938 bond funds an addition to the school building for the library.
