Church Festival at First Methodist on Friday

Hubbard family lawn festival scheduled for Friday at First Methodist Church from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission 50 cents for adults and 25 cents for children under six. Ice cream cake coffee and punch. Pony rides fish pond teenage dancing and a teen dance 25 cents admission. Tickets available from church members or at the door.

Beatriz Rinaldi the Brazilian American Field Service exchange student leaves Hubbard after eleven months. She toured with other exchange students in the East before heading home to Rio de Janeiro, praising Hubbard High School and the Gray family for a year filled with memories and school spirit.

Hubbard Water Operator Exam Rescheduled to June 28

The water operator exam for the Water Perfection Plant in Hubbard is moved to Saturday June 28 at 9 a.m. in the Council Chambers. Hubbard $1.6 million school building program in high gear

Hubbard Ohio moves ahead with a $1.6 million levy funded project budgeting $867,636 for Hubbard High additions a gym library and classrooms while Reed and Roosevelt gain new spaces and grade shifts. The plan expands capacity to about 1600 at the high school and 1400 at Reed for grades five through eight, with completion targets set for 1970.

Hubbard Playgrounds Open Eight Weeks In Hubbard Area

Ann Machard supervises a new Hubbard area playground program opening Monday for eight weeks. The sites run five days a week from Ulam to 4 p.m. Supervisors include Ann Machard and assistant Jan Hanran. Directors and play grounds include Marie Costick Ruthanne Keenan Ann MacHarg Jones School Charlotte Baker Hillcrest School Alice Demko and Jan Hanran at Waugh playground. The first program an all schools pet parade is this Friday at Reed School at 1 p.m.

The Hubbard Booster Boxing event returns tonight at the football stadium with the first bout starting at 38:30 pm after rain forced a postponement earlier in the week.

Centennial Promenade planned for Hubbard centennial event

Hubbard announces a Centennial Promenade this Friday at 7 pm starting at the Mahoning National Bank and ending at 8 pm with a Kangaroo Court. Participants may wear period attire. A caravan to surrounding communities is scheduled for June 29 to publicize Hubbard's Centennial Celebration.

Jaycees Sponsor Four Teen Dances During Homecoming

Hubbard residents will enjoy four teen dances during Homecoming. The Markals play July 19 from 8 to 11 pm, The Pipers appear July 20, the Glass Harps perform July 25 from 8 30 to 11 30 pm, and Men At Ease provide music July 22 from 8 pm to midnight. All events are at the high school gym with admission of one dollar.
