Bread Sale Raises 765 for March of Dimes in Trumbull Schools
High school students from Warren Western Reserve Harding JFK Hubbard Lakeview McDonald and Howland sold more than 1900 bread loaves raising 765 for the March of Dimes on November 18. Western Reserve led with 192.28 in sales as its football semi final win in Columbus occurred the same weekend. Hubbard adds Margaret Hurley moved from Struthers to Hubbard where her son in law Jim Devine runs a supermarket.

Hubbard Streets Plan Outlines Two Year Upgrades
The Streets Committee led by Councilman Harvey Hatch releases a 1973 74 streets program. Twenty two streets would get slurry seal coating, nine would be black topped by city crews, saving about 75000 by avoiding major resurfacing. The plan allocates 18630 for 70518 square yards of slurry seal over two years with annual 8000 costs for ongoing slurry projects.

Hubbard area courted by two industrial firms seeking Hubbard sites
Hubbard area chamber president Gene Alexander said two firms have shown interest in building plants in Hubbard. One needs 12 and 25 acre parcels for a manufacturing plant with 50 workers, the other a 20 acre site for a packaging plant with about 100 workers. He noted potential annexation, labor cooperation, and an 12.5 million business complex planned north of the city near I 80 with infrastructure underway.
