Hubbard Carl Morell was appointed superintendent for the rest of the year through 1991, replacing the administrative assistant post. Salary set at 63,600 pro rated from Sept 24. Desert Shield pen pal visits Hubbard 3rd grade student
During Thanksgiving week Roosevelt Elementary third grader Bobby Stemple received a surprise visit from his Operation Desert Shield pen pal Captain David Rhoades born in Austintown. The captain, a KC-135 navigator, shared stories from Saudi Arabia and handed Bobby a hat and foreign money. Rhoades will soon return to Grissom AFB Indiana after a short leave.
