Hubbard High School presents Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma on April 9 and 10 at 8 p.m. in Hall Memorial auditorium. Tickets cost 1.00 for children under 12 and 2.00 for adults. NILES It is time to start planning your trip to the Orient and Tuesday, April 13 you can receive information on a 17 day junket at an Orient Tour Party at Alberini's Restaurant at 8:30 p.m. The trip will include stops in Japanese cities, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore, with a three day visit to Hawaii on the way home. A siren warning test will occur April 8 at 1 11 p.m. by Youngstown County Disaster Services Agency with the weather service and emergency broadcasting system. Sirens will emit a steady blast for three to five minutes signaling a severe weather tornado warning. This is only a test of the system.

A Hubbard Bicentennial celebration song titled Hubbard Ohio was written by Dorothy Bullock to the tune of Oh Suzanna. It was presented to the bicentennial executive committee and will be sung at the grand ball on April 9 and used in the celebration parade June 14 to 18. The song will be distributed to Hubbard schools.

Easter egg hunt planned at Harding Park
HUBBARD An Easter egg hunt for Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts will be held at Harding Park on Saturday April 10 from 2 p.m. to 3 30 p.m. Senior Troop 181 led by Mrs Rita Fusselman runs the event. Brownies assemble in the park parking lot across from pavilion 3. Girls may bring a small bag to collect eggs which should be well hidden. Police investigate car found burned in Stewart Ave area
Hubbard city police began an inquiry after a 1973 white Plymouth owned by Carl Marine at 865 Stewart Ave was stolen between March 31 and April 1 and found completely burned in Astabula County. The ignition was badly burned. A Ford truck break in at Westview Apartments yielded $149 in goods and a tool set worth $60 with a tape deck, taken by two males and a female in an older model car. A wheel disc valued at $22 was reported stolen from a car at Metropolitan Bank on Liberty Street.
