Room switch saves couple from hotel fire

A Fort Lauderdale couple credited a last minute room switch with saving them from a deadly hotel fire in Copenhagen that claimed the life of a Richmond doctor and his wife. The Browns, who had arrived after a Scandinavian cruise, were in a different room after a desk clerk suggested a third floor street facing room. Early Sunday the fire consumed the hotel while the Browns fled with passports money and airline tickets.
