Siamese twins die after three day attempt

East Los Angeles couple’s conjoined twin girls died after a three day rescue effort. Hospital officials cited heart failure as the cause and noted faulty lung development. The babies, delivered by Caesarean at full term to Mr. and Mrs. Levino Morales, weighed 12 pounds 12 ounces together.
