Governors Support Plan To Reopen Draft Boards For Veterans Aid

The proposal envisions reviving old wartime draft boards to process veteran aid requests and advise on relief. Irish and English Conference Fails in Britain Talks

CHICAGO Circuit Court of Appeals ordered John Factor, known as Jake the Barber, sent to England for trial on a seven million dollar mining stock fraud charge against British investors. In Arkansas, E J Bodman of Little Rock said he cannot accept the Pine Bluff Agricultural Credit Corporation chairman post due to time constraints.

Style Show to Be Held at Saenger

Seven Hope business houses cooperate with the Saenger theater for a style show at the Saenger Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 9. Manager Arthur Swanke announced the program and stage set in green and white. Seventeen models from local shops will present attire for men and women with children included. Arkansas Receives $529 400 in Relief Loans

The Reconstruction Finance Corporation announced a relief advance of $529 400 to Arkansas for relief in 36 counties for October 1 through October 31. County names will be released by the governor’s office later. About 300 men work under the federal loan program in Hempstead County with more than 1,000 registrations so far.
