Obituaries for Mrs. Cora Hutchens and Eddie M Hart

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Cora Hutchens 84 at Herndon Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Gerald Trussell officiating. Burial followed in Rose Hill Cemetery. She died Monday in a local nursing home and was a First Baptist member. Survivors include two daughters a brother a sister six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also services for Eddie M Hart 81 were at Prescott Central Baptist Church with Rev. W E Thomason officiating. Burial was in Bluff Springs Cemetery. He died Monday at home in Prescott and is survived by Ruth Bell Hart his wife two sons Felts Hart of Victor Tex and Joe Hart of Crossett Ark a brother Leonard Hart of Prescott three sisters Mrs. Eric Stead Mrs. Mildred Rhodes and Mrs. Jenny Kennedy of Shreveport eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Nurses Attend Alcoholism Workshop at Texarkana College

Fourteen registered nurses from Hope and a twelve county area will join a seminar titled Alcoholism and its Complicated Problems at Texarkana College on November 14. The free program runs 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with registration at 8:45 a.m. in Room 316 nursing building.

Bow and Arrow Program Delights Hope Rotary Club

Texarkana archer Bill Counts spoke at the Hope Rotary Club about bows and arrows, tracing their history and use in wars and hunting.
