The National Weather Service says precipitation will return to Arkansas with widely scattered thunderstorms possible in the northern portion tonight and Wednesday. The chance of precipitation is 20 percent for both periods, with no precipitation forecast for the southeastern two thirds of the state.
The Weather Service forecast a cold front moving southward bringing thunderstorms and higher wind in the northwest of the state. Warmer temps expected through Wednesday with highs in the mid to upper 80s and low 90s by midweek. Overnight lows range mid to upper 60s with city readings from 61 to 79.
At an anti Fascist rally in Brescia Italy an explosion killed nine people and wounded 30 officials said President Giovanni Leone called the attack a massacre and said it aimed to plunge the state into chaos amid a deadly terrorist act. Police investigated whether a crowd or a planted bomb caused the blast near the Praca della Laine. Prime Minister Marie Ratier pledged action as authorities pursued leads.
