Infant killed as Kansas windstorm strikes near Hutchinson
A storm with winds over 65 mph ripped through south central Kansas early today, killing a 20 month old infant and injuring four other family members of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Mitzner 17 miles west of Hutchinson. The wind toppled trees, damaged homes and businesses, and knocked out power. Five tornadoes hit Kansas, Oklahoma and Iowa overnight with hail and heavy rains reported.
