The Internal Revenue Bureau extended the filing deadline from March 15 to March 31 1933 under a Treasury decision. Taxpayers delaying filing must pay six percent annual interest on the first quarterly installment from March 15 and file returns for individuals fiduciaries and corporations by March 31 1933 with at least a portion of tax paid and interest at the stated rate.

Citizens National and 93 state banks win licenses to resume normal business under federal reopening plan. Unrestricted withdrawals return at Citizens National as 131 banks in Arkansas reopen in last 24 hours, with 37 having prior approvals. officials plan gradual reopens across counties and towns.
Governor William McChesey Martin announced 209 more banks in the Eighth Federal Reserve District licensed by the Treasury to reopen Wednesday. Reopenings: Arkansas 35 Illinois 67 Indiana 19 Kentucky 25 Missouri 49 Tennessee 7.
