Menlo Park, AP. An experimental garbage gobbler grinds and burns waste to drive a jet engine and generator, producing electricity. The 40 ton daily prototype aims for 1,000 kilowatts with plans for a 400 ton unit reaching up to 15,000 kilowatts, funded by EPA with a $2.2 million grant.
