Machines Cannot Replace Farm Labor Across The Midwest

In Oklahoma City on March 4, SNA crop economist Hushrod Allin said machines and skilled workers will not quickly eliminate ordinary farm labor. He noted that nearly all crops require manual labor in planting and harvest and will do so for some time. He warned mechanization may raise demand for skilled labor rather than reduce overall labor needs.
