Women hostage ordeal ends with convict shooting in Ohio

In Junction City Ohio two convicts held three women hostage for nearly six hours at the Junction City Treatment Facility demanding an unmarked car for escape. Highway patrols stormed the barricaded office as convicts were shot. Michael Woods died and Bernard Barbiaux was critically wounded.

Judge says Wounded Knee trial may last four months

A federal judge in Minnesota predicts the Wounded Knee conspiracy trial of AIM leaders Dennis Banks and Russell Means could last up to four months. Miss Clara Beaty Rites Set In Beaty Cemetery Near DeAnn

Miss Clara Beaty 81 died today in a local hospital. She lived in Emmet and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
