They said $200 of the $1025 stolen had been spent and the rest was recovered. Mrs Jolly had been staying at the Abrams home until the robbery. The money came from crops sold.
A hitch hiker near Gainesville Texas was killed after being struck by a vehicle. Police tentatively identified the victim as Robert Gilbertson, 27, of Lewistown Pennsylvania. Investigating officers reported the incident occurred along a highway and involved a car. The crash remains under inquiry with no further details released.

The Rev. and Mrs. Harvey J. McKennell, elderly parents of Winnie Ruth Judd, the convicted murderess, sought a small house near Florence penitentiary while she faces the gallows or a new trial. Prison officials allowed an hour weekly visit, as Judd's mother and father were briefly shown to her dim cell.
