The Chinese consul general in Canada says he knows of no way to accept foreign flyers as no preparations exist for American airmen in Chinese service. An American who flew with the Chinese aviation corps was shot down and killed by Japanese airmen, underscoring the danger. Shanghai warns American aviators that the Chinese air force is small and not prepared to recruit foreign pilots at this time.

Magnolia College band under directors G G Martel and Earl W Brannon will stage a minstrel on March 18 featuring 20 performers from the glee club.
