Pleasant temperatures expected in Arkansas through Thursday as southerly winds bring warmer air. Skies were clear at sunrise Tuesday with lows from 10 degrees at Gilbert to 30 at Clarendon and continuing mild daytime highs.

A total of 124 University of Arkansas College of Arts and Sciences students earned all A’s in the fall term including senior Jimnamie D. Treat of Hope on the Dean’s List alongside Justin Caldwell Bruce McRae Ronald Gibson and Judith Reyenga all Hope residents.
The Southwest Arkansas Planning and Development District approved a capital expenditures reimbursement for rebuilding Branch General Hospital at the I-30 and Highway 4 intersection. The 40-bed facility will include a four doctor clinic with a 70-bed nursing home and retirement complex, financed privately, on land secured, awaiting Arkansas Council approval in Little Rock.
