Carrie Tilman Childers 88 mother of Earl Childers dies in Texarkana hospital. Funeral services set for several.
Weather forecasters warned of abnormally high tides and potential floods on the U S East Coast on January 8 and February 7 in 1974. The tides could be amplified by a rare celestial alignment with the moon near the mid-Atlantic coast and Earth near its closest approach to the sun.
