Parish built in a stable becomes St Maurice Church
Father David Russell arrived in June 1970 to found St Maurice parish inside a former stable at Fort Langley Dale. Parishioners of all ages gather each Sunday as the simple church takes shape with a wooden altar. Construction continues to convert surrounding stables into a parking area. The priest notes the first church was a stable and aims for honest simplicity.
