NCA team evaluates Hope Public Schools in state review

A North Central Association evaluation team spent three days in Hope to review Hope Public Schools. Led by John Miller, the Arkansas NCA chair, the group assessed strengths and weaknesses and made recommendations, stressing administrators as a key program strength. Two Men Killed in Malvern Truck Crash

Two men died early Wednesday when their truck left Interstate 30 near Malvern, burned after the crash. State Police Corporal Lendol Holcomb identified the victims as J. W Taylor of Benson and Robert Mogris Jr. of Little Rock. Taylor was the driver. Henry Bean covered Lake Itasca in Minnesota in 1832.

Threatened railroad strike averted today

Warwick divorces after ten years of marriage

Singer Dionne Warwick and husband Bill Elliott were granted a divorce in Los Angeles after ten years of marriage. Elliott, a drummer and actor, sought five thousand dollars monthly in support.
