One killed in explosion at Fort Smith meat plant
Charles Stawser, 51, of Fort Smith died and four others were injured when a compressor exploded at a Fort Smith meat packing plant. Fire officials said the ammonia compressor released pressure, apparently triggering the blast as Stawser approached to open a malfunctioning valve.
