Showers and storms hit Arkansas amid gusts and hail
Showers and a few heavy thunderstorms moved through Arkansas late Wednesday. The National Weather Service reported wind gusts up to 59 mph at Fort Smith and an inch hail at Alma northeast of Fort Smith. The storms injured some National Guard members camping at Fort Chaffee.

Dallas man charged in DeQueen robbery
Dallas, Texas man Robert Dolan Sirles, 22, faces burglary charges tied to a DeQueen robbery while he was jailed at Sevier County Jail. Investigators found narcotics and two keys in his cell, including a skeleton key.
