Two Brothers Injured in 67 Collision Near Fulton
Two brothers Hyrum Hilton age 30 and Benson Hilton age 19 from Fulton were injured when their Ford coupe and a heavy truck collided about 9 PM two miles east of Fulton on the paved highway. Hyrum suffered a compound skull fracture, a broken arm and internal injuries while Benson had back injuries and cuts. They were taken to Julia Chester hospital by a Hope Furniture ambulance. The Hiltons were en route to Hope to hear a political speech when their car overturned after the hub of the truck struck the rear wheel. The truck occupants were unhurt and only minor damage was done to the truck. witnesses attributed the truck to Four States Grocery Co of Texarkana.

Funeral Services of Ewing Delayed
Funeral and burial arrangements for Lee B. Ewing are delayed awaiting the arrival of a brother from Tupelo Mississippi. The well known Hope man ended his life Wednesday by swallowing carbolic acid and died ten minutes after being brought to Julia Chester hospital. He was a former service man and longtime bookkeeper for the Hope Heading Company, who had recently left his job after his wife’s death.
