Prison skeleton identified as Thomas Hamilton at Cummins Graves
Dr. Clyde Snow identified a Cummins Prison Farm skeleton as inmate Thomas Hamilton, shot accidentally by guard T. C. Claybourne in 1920. The finding challenges former superintendent Murton’s murder theory and suggests a larger graveyard of approximately 600 former Cummins inmates.
