Pilot Talks Youth Out of Hijacking
Pilot John Bybee of Trans World Airlines flew a Boeing 707 for over 15 minutes while a nervous 22 year old passenger from McKeesport, Lynn Littie, waved a gun and believed the flight to Pittsburgh would head to Boston. Bybee calmed him by promising Pittsburgh and helped hide the weapon. FBI later took Littie into custody after landing.
