Seven Die In Wrecks On Arkansas Highways This Weekend
Seven people perished on Arkansas highways in six separate accidents over the weekend. Early Sunday two St Francis County residents, Seamon and Collins Gardner, died when a head on collision on U S 70 east of Brinkley involved a car driven by Herbert Lee Gardner crossing the center line. A passenger in the Gardner car, Ceil Freeman, and Gardner Douglas Burr were injured. A La. man, Burr, was killed near Lake Village while standing beside a parked car on U S 65. Billy Wayne Burr and Haskell Ray Bubitt Jr were injured or killed in separate incidents on U S 65 and Arkansas 43 near Fayeteville and Green Fork respectively. Further fatalities included Torre E Brekkey near Hickory Ridge and Melody Hall near Northgate Rock after vehicle crashes on I 40. Christopher Ray Hill and Patricia Hill were injured in the Little Rock collision.
