Wait-and-see stance cited by city official Kathy Mitchell
City Clerk Kathy Mitchell describes the situation as a wait-and-see approach while officials monitor developments and potential changes affecting local procedures and timelines. The remarks suggest caution and pending decisions as events unfold.
Emily asked to limit precincts in ballot request
The township considered trimming its estimate to include only some precincts and avoid copying all ballots. Holland city info was limited to Ward 5 precinct 12. Mitchell said the city asked for 50 percent of costs, about $1,000, awaiting Emily’s reply. Roebuck noted large workload and need to redact voter numbers and ballot specifics.
