Panther Award winner overcomes obstacles at West Ottawa
Stephen Mosteller, a recent West Ottawa High School graduate, won the Panther Award for overcoming family instability and early discipline issues. He credits a turning point during ninth grade suspension and his late stepfather's death with shaping his resolve. He plans to study biological sciences at Michigan Tech on a presidential scholarship and aims to work in environmental science, possibly for the EPA.
