Mary Louise Avery died at her West Olive home on June 12. She is survived by her husband James E. She and three children plus grandchildren, siblings, and a wide circle of nieces and nephews. A lifelong fundraiser and community volunteer with many leadership roles in Kalamazoo, she later moved to a family farm in West Olive. Burial mass is planned for June 22 at Resurrection in Holland, with visitation beforehand. Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Home Northwood Chapel.
