Holland Planning Commission backs aquatic center expansion plan
The Holland Planning Commission voted to recommend approval of a preliminary plan for expanding and modifying the Holland Community Aquatic Center under the 1.25 mill 20 year bond approved May 7. The plan adds 37080 square feet near the entrance and 6093 square feet at the rear, with 90 new parking spots from ending a hospital employee lot sharing. The final site plan rests with the Zoning Board of Appeals, which could approve deny or send back the plan, amid efforts to simplify development rules and potentially remove conditional use permits.
