Heat waves claim dozens of lives and flood emergency rooms
Global heat waves prove deadly this year with at least 70 deaths in Canada and 40 in Japan. The CDC says over 65,000 Americans visit ERs for acute heat illness each summer. Dehydration signs include fatigue, dizziness, dry mouth, and the heart bears extra strain as dehydration progresses. Hydration aids heart function and muscle performance, with heat-related deaths linked to high temperatures.
