Michigan reports new COVID-19 cases and totals

On Jan 5 Michigan logged 2,291 new cases and 189 deaths, with 504,410 confirmed cases and 12,867 deaths to date and 42,232 probable cases with 741 probable deaths. Ottawa County reported 500 new cases, 18,037 total cases and 251 deaths, plus 1,067 probable cases and 25 probable deaths, with 5,433 recovered. Total recovered statewide 363,611. county recoveries 15,758. 117 deaths added after records review. Cases for earlier dates may be updated after publication.
