Appledorn to Host Holiday Parade of Lights Walk
Appledorn Assisted Living Center in Holland will host a Parade of Lights Walk on Wednesday December 23 at its north center and south center locations. Residents will watch walkers from windows as participants wear lights and festive outfits. The event begins at 5 30 p m at 411 Ida Red Parkway and 6 p m at 727 Apple Ave with hot chocolate and cookies at the end. Community relations manager Gracie Stewart says the walk aims to reduce loneliness and social isolation among residents, and attendees are encouraged to bring flashlights or LED lights and dress in Christmas attire.
