Holland to seek waterfront development proposals
Holland city officials hire Hitchcock Design Group to issue calls for proposals for land along Lake Macatawa west of downtown. The plan targets the former James DeYoung plant site or land south of the plant now held by Padnos Recycling and Verplank Dock Co. A land swap may move these tenants north. Proposals face economic and community suitability reviews, with a referendum possible on any final project.
