Gas prices in Michigan fall 5 cents before Christmas

AAA survey shows Michigan gasoline averaged 3.14 per gallon on Monday December 20 down 5 cents week over week. A 15 gallon tank costs about 47 dollars. prices are 23 cents lower than a month ago and 1 dollar higher than a year ago. Regional lows and highs cited with Marquette and Traverse City expensive vs Grand Rapids and Benton Harbor cheaper. Domestic gasoline stocks fell 700,000 barrels to 218.6 million while demand rose to 9.47 million bpd.
