Community Foundation awards 98K to Holland Zeeland groups
The Community Foundation of Holland Zeeland approved five local grants totaling 98,377 across early childhood education addiction recovery nonprofit services at risk youth and local arts. The CDC Network received 25,000 for a Park Township preschool campaign. Dragonflies Discovery Preschool will serve 194 children yearly on land formerly part of Park Township Airport. Reach for Recovery formerly Ottawan Addiction Recovery received 25,000 to launch a Medication Assisted treatment program.

South Shore Landing Named for Kayak Park in Park Township
Park Township officials christened the kayak and boat launch on the south side of Lake Macatawa as South Shore Landing. The name, chosen from a public online survey of 113 responses, beat two alternatives. The $900,000 expansion at 1671 South Shore Drive included $675,000 from a Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund grant with added kayak launch, storage, parking and landscaping. A golf cart use request near El See Park was also reviewed.
