In the Circuit Court of the Fourth Circuit Territory of Hawaii U.S. A. a notice to creditors is issued seeking claims against decedents estates. Creditors must present their claims and proof of debt by a specified deadline to the court or appointed administrator.
Notice is given that Wailani is administrator of Kamaliwahine estate in Hilo Hawaii. Creditors must present verified claims with vouchers to the administrator within six months from the notice date or be barred. Dated January 19 1903 in Hilo Hawaii.
The annual meeting of the stockholders of the Hilo Electric Light Co Ltd will be held at the company office in Hilo Hawaii on Saturday January 3 1903 at 3 o clock p m for electing officers for the ensuing year and other business.
Notice from Miss A. A. McCord teacher at Haaheo School Hawaii that Treasury Warrant 9951 for eighty four dollars dated December 34 1902 is lost and cautions against negotiating it. If found return to Miss A. A. McCord at Hilo Hawaii dated January 22 1905.

Cable from Maracaibo reports the German gunboat Panther launched three boat loads of men to reconnoiter and attack Fort San Carlos on January 17. The fort fired 117 shots, the Panther withdrew and later resumed blockade duties from about twenty miles away. Venezuelan casualties were four dead or wounded and ten lightly. officials say the bombardment was likely the commander’s initiative, with no Berlin orders.
John Owen of Colorado, a mine owner, extols Hawaii as a perfect retreat far from business. He praises the climate, scenery, and hospitality, says steamer travel adds to charm, and plans to invest and promote Hawaii to friends. He believes Hawaii could attract vast tourist travel with better information.
Dr C B Cooper was unanimously elected by the Board of Health to succeed President Sloggett in Honolulu. The choice surprised many who expected Dr Moore to take the post. Cooper accepted under pressure, pledging continuity with the previous policy and thanking the board for their confidence. Attorney General Dole praised cordial relations and steadfast service amid past criticism. Also notes Jersey City undertakers blacklisting 469 families for unpaid funerals and wild camels in Colorado traced to government introductions.
