The Conservative Congregation of Hillside plans a groundbreaking Sunday September 25 at 2 30 p m at the Temple site 910 Salem Avenue. Rabbi Eliezer Cohen Rabbi Benjamin Englander and Rabbi T H Beryl Lasker lead the ceremony with greetings from local officials and the United Synagogue of America. The project costs about 150000 with a main sanctuary 96 by 46 feet seating 700 and wings for classrooms chapel and offices. Jerry Goldman chairs the building committee with Albert Storm Jerry Alenik Joseph Ram and Leon Goldsman assisting.

Italian American Civic Association Plans Ninth Anniversary Dinner
Plans for the ninth anniversary dinner dance of the Italian American Civic Association were announced by Frank Y Volturo. The event will be at Villa Roma in Elizabeth on Saturday October 15 with Matty Arnold and his orchestra.
