Parents Group Of PAL Is Organized

A Hillside PAL panel sparked the formation of a Parents Group to aid the Police Athletic League. Co chairs were chosen for the new auxiliary to assist with chaperones, fundraising, and activities at the Hillside PAL Building, with about 50 parents in attendance.

Hillside Considers Whole Blood Credit Plan and Cat Licensing

Red Cross official Paul Kifner announced a Hillside whole blood program offering blood credits to donors via a New York Regional Blood Program network. The plan requires groups of 150 or more to host a bloodmobile with credits split two thirds to donors’ group and one third to patients. Other township actions include codification of ordinances, a cat licensing critique by Township Clerk Bloy, and potential rezoning moves near North Broad Street. Red Cross Course For Care Of Baby Opens In Town

A new mother and baby care course begins at Red Cross Headquarters Chilton and West Jersey Streets on Monday December 1 at 1 p.m. The class meets Mondays and Wednesdays for three weeks and ends with a hospital visit. Mrs Mildred Hathaway of Hillside leads the Elizabethhtown Chapter home nursing program.

Bristol Myers Employees and retirees at the Products Division held their annual Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday November 17 in the plant cafeteria. Sponsored by the Bristol Myers Association, the meal served about 900 people and featured the usual holiday fare under the direction of Michael Ficzko.

The Lowe's Litt Theatre Group staged Be and the inbow at Carnegie Hall New York on Sunday November 7. The young performers from Charles Lowe Dancing School received strong audience praise with many favorable comments.
