Hillside resident Gertrude Kreps exhibits paintings and stone bead jewelry in the Hill Side Municipal Building lobby. The show runs weekdays 9 am to 4 pm through June 4, featuring pastels, beading, crocheting, decoupage, pottery and ceramics. Kreps, a former Hillside Art Association director, has shown throughout New Jersey and earned many awards.

Hillside man charged in PCP pusher case after teens overdosed
A Hillside man, Anthony Salerno, 20, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute after seven teens aged 13 to 18 overdosed on PCP laced with strychnine. Five more overdoses were reported, with youths hospitalized a day each. Police recovered four ounces of phencyclidine and arrested Salerno, who posted 5,000 bail awaiting a Superior Court hearing.

Pair nabbed fleeing heist in Jersey City deli raid
