Hillside High School 50th reunion brings alumni together
Fifty three graduates from Hillside High School classes of 28 to 31 gathered May 8 at the Tower Steak House in Springfield for a six course Prime Roast Beef dinner and an informal program. Allen Roberts led invocation, David MacNeil led the Flag Salute, and Milton Hock accompanied God Bless America. Teachers Mary McKeever Buermann Ethel Stevens DuBow Irwin Sower and others shared memories as former students praised educators and honored deceased classmates with carnations. Guests traveled from New Jersey and beyond including Green Bay Wisconsin and Kent Ohio to reconnect with longtime friends and teachers.
